We are bringing back our quarterly tech spotlight where we highlight one of our incredible field technicians and some fun facts about them. Our Q3 2022 tech spotlight is Joe Ambright who has been working for Matrix-NDI for 20 years! Check out some fun facts about Joe below.
- What is your full name and are you named after anyone or anything? Joseph Ambright. I was named after a family friend.
- Where were you born / where did you grow up? I was born St. Paul, and raised in Cottage Grove, MN
- When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up? Professional fisherman
- What is your favorite sports team The Wild
- Have you ever played a sport or been involved in a club? I played Soccer, hockey, and competed in fishing tournaments.
- If you could transform into any animal, what would it be? Probably an eagle!
- What was the first vehicle you ever had? Chevy S10
- What is your #1 hobby outside of work? Fishing
- What is your all-time favorite movie? Swingers
- Do you have any pets? We have three Dogs - a Lab, a Shiba Inu, and a Husky mix
- What is your biggest pet peeve? When people are rude.
- If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? To the Amazon so I could fish for Peacock Bass.
- What are you currently watching on tv? Animal Kingdom, a show about a crime family.
- Apple or Android? Apple!
- Best concert or show you ever attended? Snoop Dogg
- If you could have one superpower what would it be? Invisibility
- If you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 things would you bring with you? A lighter (something to start a fire), Bow, and a knife.
- If you had a time machine, what time period would you travel to? The "Roarin' 20's"
- If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life what would it be? Lobster roll or steak.
- Whats your favorite thing about working at Matrix-NDI? I have independence to do my job without micromanagement.
